How Ascent Works
Ascent is a 90-day cycle. You pick your most important workflows, ascend them one at a time, and repeat. Here is the process.
The 90-Day Cycle
Discovery & Workflow Mapping
Start with a guided self-assessment. Map your key business workflows, score them by value, risk, and readiness, and see exactly where each one sits on the AI maturity scale today.
Start DiscoveryBuild Your Ascent Plan
For each priority workflow, define what is manual, what the target level looks like, and what specific Lifts will get it there. The plan is concrete — not a vague roadmap.
Execute Your Lifts
A Lift is a single workflow improvement project. It has a clear definition, a pilot, a rollout, and graduation criteria. Lifts are tracked in the portal with RAG status and regular Checkpoints.
Graduate & Repeat
When a workflow reaches its target level, it graduates. Capture the SOP, the prompts, the guardrails. Then pick the next workflow and run the next 90-day cycle.
What Powers the Portal
The Ascent Portal gives you the tools to run the cycle. These are built into the workflow — you don't manage them separately.
Workflow Map
Visual map of all your workflows scored by value, risk, and current maturity level.
Lifts
Track each workflow improvement through Define → Gate → Build → Pilot → Rollout → Graduate.
Stage Plans
Quarterly commitment boards with WIP limits to keep your team focused on the right Lifts.
Checkpoints
Lean, decision-focused meetings (8–30 min) to verify Lift progress and unblock issues fast.
Friction Log
Capture blockers and decisions needed. Track resolution so nothing derails a Lift.
Altimeter & Pattern Library
Measure ROI on graduated Lifts and build your organizational AI playbook with reusable SOPs and prompts.
